Hugh seems to be happy with the concert in Buenos Aires last night, posting @antomalachite's fantastic photo of himself in front of the drums.

Crediting the photographer, he muses that her name (malachite) sounds strong enough to ‘lay low the mountains of the earth’. This is both a loose reference to Isaiah 40:4 and a direct reference to ‘Beyond The Fringe’, a satirical revue presented first at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. It turned out to be so successful that it sold out in London’s West End and went on to Broadway. Two of the show’s creators, Jonathan Miller and Peter Cook, were Cambridge graduates and Footlights members.
